Motoaki joined Oxford Science Enterprises in March 2023, bringing significant expertise in the design and development of electronic vehicles and energy storage systems.
At OSE, Motoaki will focus on identifying potential spinouts advancing battery technology and energy storage systems, as well as supporting existing portfolio companies.
Motoaki joined OSE from Arrival, a pioneering UK electric vehicle company, where he led the development of an energy storage system product line. Motoaki has also previously held roles at Bloom Energy and Mitsubishi Corporation.
Motoaki holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a MSc in Development Economics from SOAS University of London and a MA in Economics from The University of Edinburgh.
